When it comes to the recent announcement of the US withdrawal from Syria, it’s hard to discern what this drawdown actually means. On the one hand, the US president announced that it will pull all 2500 US troops out of the country. At the same time, the US national security adviser and the U secretary of state are giving different versions, all at the same time. In this edition of the debate, we will look at the US intentions in Syria, in particular the withdrawal announcement, and the reactions by US regional allies.

  1. Mike,

Great piece of work!! Great comments. Thank you for being frank and forthright on the geopolitical agenda of ISIS and its backers.

You asked while being interviews a question in regard to the TOW missiles …. how did the TOW missiles get there? Well I can tell you how because a group of us were very concerned when US Congress appropriated a bill to give the “moderate rebels” $500 million. This was 3-4 years ago. This was renewed once. We knew the TOW missiles would end up destroying much of the infrastructure of Syria which it has. The answer is the United States Congress approved this. One approval was done on like Christmas even or just before Dec adjournment as it was quickly tacked onto the budget and if not passed government would be shutdown and nobody had time to figure it all out or object.

So the answer is the congress of the United States approved the use of these TOW missiles.

    Keep up the good work!!
