Thus, the regional assessor for Health of Piedmont and national coordinator of the Health Commission, Luigi Genesio Icardi, comments on the sentence with which the Council of State (national supreme administrative judicial body– ed) accepted, as a precautionary measure, the appeal of a group of general practitioners suspending the note of 22 July 2020 Aifa which prohibited the off-label prescription (ie for a use not foreseen by the leaflet) of hydroxychloroquine for the fight against Covid 19. In fact, out of 340 patients, there were 22 hospitalizations and 9 deaths, painful numbers, but clearly lower than expected according to epidemiological data. The Piedmontese data were also compared with the experiences of other doctors from Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Friuli, with an extraordinary concordance of results.
«The persistent uncertainty about the therapeutic efficacy of hydroxychloroquine, admitted by Aifa itself to justify the further evaluation in randomized clinical trials – now reads the sentence of the Council of State – is not sufficient legal reason to justify the unreasonable suspension of its use on the national territory by treating doctors. The choice of whether or not to use the drug, in a situation of doubt and contrast in the scientific community, on the basis of non-univocal clinical data, regarding its efficacy only in the initial stage of the disease, must therefore be left to decision-making autonomy and responsibility of the individual doctor in science and conscience».

Would you post a link as to where these results, presumably from clinical trials, might be found? Thankyou.
Read all researches in global research website. No body says it works in late phase of COVID-19, it works in early phase. To do a study in late phase is meant to be failed. When patients are already in hospital, they are on 9th day of infection, late for HCQ to work.
HCQ works best as prevention or in very early stages of SARS-COV-2 infection.
Very good read Fabio. As a medical doctor working in hospital in Scandinavia abd well researched about HCQ. I know it works, but mainly in early phase of SARS-CoV-2 infection not in Pulmonary Phase, or limited. Contrary to the VT claim about HCQ, there are some well done studies on HCQ a very well done from 2015. VT also published some wrong things about Sweden and its unique fight against Covid-19. I like your articles. Some VT stuff seems to be out of touch with medical issues, but still pushing their opinion without understanding it. One clear example is the mRNA-based gene editing vaccine, while the greatest scientists in this field like professor Sucharit abd Dr. Hang Lee and 100 thousands other doctors warning about it including Pfizer former research CEO, Some VT staff thing this is a popcorn to be distributed to every one. I think simply they do not know, rather being part of some dark circles.
