Your health is important. Let me say that again just in case it didn’t get through. Your health is important! It is bar-none the most important responsibility you have in your life. Your health is the gateway to every other piece of the human experience. You owe it not only to yourself but to the people around you to try and maintain your health to the highest possible degree you can.

That being said. It’s not easy. When one is starting on the road of diet and exercise. There is so much misinformation out there that it can be genuinely overwhelming to just get started. This becomes doubly true if you’re trying to target any specific parts of your health. This brings up the question. If you’re trying to relegate something like your cholesterol. What are some straightforward, no-nonsense ways you can accomplish this?

Well, I’m so glad you asked. You see, I’ve been on an ongoing fitness journey for many years now, and my cholesterol level is something I’ve had difficulty regulating. That’s why I’ve decided to create this guide on some of my favorite ways to make sure I have a healthy level of cholesterol in my system!

Exercise!

Now, I’m sure almost everyone called it before you read that first headline. But yes, as predictable as it may be, exercise is the skeleton key to your health. When you consider the fact that human anatomy was developed over thousands of years for the sole purpose of surviving an inhospitable environment.

You may start to see why your body is primed to move in certain ways. The truth is, on some primal level. Your body wants to be active. It wants to move and run and jump and get its blood flowing. Now when you’re just starting again after a period of inactivity. This can be tough. But if you’re looking to boost your overall health. Creating an exercise routine is the best way to do so. A great way to start is to start slowly. Take your time and create small attainable goals for your fitness.

For instance, for the first week. Try taking a daily walk. This walk can even be as short as ten minutes. The length of time is not important to start with. What’s important right now is getting into the habit of exercise. Once you build on that habit. You’ll be genuinely surprised at how far you can go! This is a great way to get your blood pumping, for a healthy heart!

Say No To Seed Oils

A huge part of high cholesterol is the presence of inflammation. Inflammation is when parts of your inner body get inflamed. This can have several disastrous effects on not only your heart but the entirety of your health. A good way to combat this inflammation is to adopt a new diet. Eating lean and green is a great way to get rid of all that nasty build-up in your body. This means eating a diet of veggies, fresh fruits, and light white meat.

These are foods that are easy for your body to process, lowering the likelihood of inflammation by a great degree. In recent studies, doctors have also found that cooking with seed oils, is also detrimental to the levels of inflation in your body.

This means things like sesame oil, sunflower oil, and canola oil can do a lot of harm to your health. Replacing these oils with small amounts of butter. Or just a little bit of olive oil is a great way to reduce your intake of seed oils while still being able to enjoy the foods you love!

The road to one’s health is a long one. It seems like there are a million pitfalls. A million tiny little traps you can fall into. And if you do fall into one of those. Then it’s just a hop skip and a jump from there to an urgent care lexington ky.

My main advice though is this. Be not afraid of this journey. Yes. It is hard. Yes, you will want to quit a thousand times. There will be moments where you say to yourself, “I quit.” Over and over again. You just have to keep reminding yourself. Those thoughts are temporary. They are things you imagine. But your health? That is real. Running up a flight of stairs without getting winded?

That’s real. Helping your friend move, and still have the energy to go out dancing afterward? That’s real. Working all day, and still coming home to take care of your wife who’s been sick with the flu? That’s real. When you change your health you are changing the way you physically interact with the world. And there is nothing more real than that!
