[ Editor’s Note: Gilad has a shorter tour than usual this year, other bookings, I suspect, on the Continent. I have fond memories of hosting him here in Atlanta a few years ago. He got separated from his luggage on the flight, but had his sax as carry-on and a laptop. We had to stop to do some clothes shopping before his talk.
The gig went very well, except he just did one short sax number. I had been able to stitch together some of the Christian Palestinian movement, the peace loving Quakers, and Cynthia McKinney even showed up.
The best part was being able to bring my TV camera and be able to set up close enough to pick up his audio with a shotgun mic, so I have some great archive footage.
Gilad is a great stand up comic, with good timing and schmoozing an audience. They loved every minute of it.
