The vital Tabqa Dam, scene of recent fighting, southwest of Raqqah, has been damaged by recent US attacks in support of Kurdish forces fighting ISIS. This dam not only controls the flow of the Euphrates River, a danger to tens of thousands of lives, but provides hydroelectric power to the region as well, a region that stretches over 300 miles.
Now a US bombing attack on the facility has killed the facility manager and seriously injured a number of technicians and engineers assessing previous American bomb damage.
