What Temperature Does Fahrenheit Equal Celsius?

The Celsius and Fahrenheit are two important temperature scales. The Fahrenheit scale is used primarily in the United States, while Celsius is used throughout the world. The two scales have different zero points and the Celsius degree is bigger than the Fahrenheit one. There is one point on the Fahrenheit and Celsius scales where the temperatures in degrees are equal. This is -40 °C and -40 °F. If you can’t remember the number, there is a simple algebraic method to find the answer.

  1. Amerika is for ever telling the world of their exceptionalism. In government. In Everything. Yet use British Imperial Measures. Is this the tip of the plot of the iceberg to keep Amerika stupid?

  2. To derive the conversion from Celcius to Fahrenheit or vice versa you make a proportion of the freezing to boiling temperatures and then add or subtract the 32 degree difference depending on which way your conversion is going.

    • You know you are right. I think this is a plot. The stupid, the publishers, writers who use F scale though think the rest of the country can’t cope with the metric system. This of course is not so. The dating is even weirder. I mean why start with the month? Who does that?
