On October 14, 1918, Hitler is temporarily blinded by a British gas shell and evacuated to a German military hospital at Pasewalk, in Pomerania.

Churchill was an extreme warmonger dating back to his position as Lord of the Admiralty in World War I -- so much so that Prime Minister Asquith, in his diary, recorded how, in the early days of the 1914 crisis, Churchill's warmongering "filled him with a sense of dread."
After a year-long career, the submarine—and all 26 of its crew members—sank to the sea floor during a fatal encounter with P-57.
