Muqtada Al-Sadr threatens US forces participating in Mosul operations

Leader of Al-sadr Movement, Muqtada Al-Sadr, threatened to target US military troops that will participate in the offensive to retake the city of Mosul process.

Al-Sadr posted the comment on his official website after a follower asked for his response to the announcement of US Defence Secretary Ash Carter of deploying additional US troops to Iraq: “They are a target for us.”

Carter said earlier that US President, Barack Obama, has agreed to send additional US forces to provide logistical support to Iraqi forces for the retake of Mosul.
