Donald Trump violating US law by talking to world leaders
by Gordon Duff, VT Sr. Editor, with Press TV, Tehran
[ Note: Trump’s publicity greed shows through like a picture window. He is grooming his son-in-law to be president someday, as a new John Kennedy and Jackie American family love affair. Ivanka is all over Instagram with photos at home with her kids, building a fantasy mother following.
But as Gordon notes below, a President Elect beginning his presidency early is a huge breach of etiquette which could come back to fight him.
Despite its being illegal for him to contact foreign leaders directly, he has done so to get right out there that he will not accept any rules he does not like, and a track record on not having anyone do anything about it.
He will of course self-destruct if he continues doing this…by pushing it too far. Things were bad enough during the Bush years when the FBI had to wire people in the Whitehouse quietly just to try to find out what a major Israeli spy there was giving them, part of an investigation into pilfered US nuclear weapons material by our favorite country in the Mideast.
Sure, the FBI could never use the information in a prosecution as it was not obtained via a warrant, but they were smart enough to know they could at least find out what the damage was. And if any of you are wondering if others do this, like top committee chairman wanting to help out our friend in the Mideast, the answer is yes. It’s gone on for years, and looks like it will get worse before it gets betters… Jim W. Dean ]
