Editor’s Note: Discover your own worth. That is the message of the author and poet Randi Owens. This is the first book in a series in which Owens encourages the reader to find his or her own voice.  Cherish Your Beginning is an emotional look at the author’s life, told through poems she wrote in the early 70s. Owens grew up in the foster care system after the death of her parents.  She started writing poems to express herself at a time when she felt that she did not have a presence.

This book of poems contains poetry with subject matter of hope, emotion, acceptance/answers, revelation, and thought. Poetry became a lifeline for the author as she used these poems to deal with her feelings, life’s stresses, and worries.  The reader may use these poems to better adjust to his or her own life stresses. …..Carol
