The US cranks up pressure on Europe over Russia pipeline projects: Report

[ Editor’s Note: Pompeo is making moves now to be the new US führer after Trump goes down, but does not understand that both are considered national security threats by loyal factions inside US military and Intelligence.

By loyal I mean those who are not in it for the money and the chance to get into the richly rewarding military contractor game after the taxpayers have spent a bundle on their skill sets.

That Pompeo the West Pointer is leading the charge does not put a shining light on the long term legacy of that institution, something that others have realized with the 50% of West Pointers leaving the military after their initial five-year commitment.

I knew someone who had three daughters go to West Point, serving after 9-11. Each one bowed out, and all for the same reason. They caught on to the ‘fake war’ game and wanted nothing to do with it, but there were many others who had no problem with it at all.

Pompeo has dispensed with any diplomatic pretense, using his full bore unipolar attack on NATO allies if they do not submit to US domination. This is patently illegal under the UN charter, and theoretically, it would be time to formally eject the US, which has in effect rejected its own membership by showing it does not accept being bound by its founding documents.

One of the failings of the UN charter is it does not include any process for removing rogue members, or Israel would have been gone a long time ago.

It was not the American people but the gangster regime who, with help from Israel, peppered the 2016 Republican primaries with such an overgrowth of vanity candidates that it created an opening for ‘you know who’ to shoehorn Trump into the Oval office with a little electronic vote flipping.

Per Gordon’s article this week, we are on to the Trump regime plans to refuse to relinquish control if he loses the election. Now we will see if the country is so stupid as to think it can be dealt with after the event or can grasp the necessity to do it now with impeachment hearings on the subversive acts going on right now inside the White House.

Glenn Kirshner yesterday was waving the bloody flag that Congress should initiate impeachment charges on AG Barr NOW, while it can still do so. Our sourcing is indicating that the Trump gang will not leave anyone freedom of action to threaten his coup after it goes now, which frankly is right out of the ‘How to do a Coup’ book.

The good news is ‘the folks’ have shown they are onto this before the Trump Coupmeister can complete all their preliminary staging steps, like the Federal forces in Portland now and more waiting in the wings for Albuquerque. The organic Vet Walls have popped up in Portland, which could ruin Trump’s plans for his election day plans for 50,000 to 60,000 Gestapo troops creating mayhem at polling stations, allegedly ‘protecting’ them.

The vets need to move now to see that similar forces are put at all the polling stations to defend them. We have time, but we need a two-pronged attack. The Trump regime needs to be charged with insurrection while the planning is in process.

Risking a further escalation of tensions, the United States is increasing pressure on European contractors to drop out of Nord Stream 2 – a major Russian pipeline project that would transport gas to Europe under the Baltic Sea, according to a report.

In recent days, a dozen US officials from the Department of State, the Department of the Treasury, and the Department of Energy have held video conferences with European contractors to underline their concern about the energy project, the German Die Welt newspaper reported on Saturday.

The officials signaled that they want to stop the completion of the $11.7 billion projects, threatening representatives of the European companies with “far-reaching consequences” if they continue cooperating with it, the paper said.

On Tuesday, the US House of Representatives passed an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act for the next fiscal year, which would expand sanctions against Nord Stream 2 and Turk Stream, another Russian pipeline project running oil pipelines through Europe to Turkey.

The Donald Trump administration is anxious the projects will boost Moscow’s economic and political leverage in Europe.

Last week, the State Department also moved to potentially expand economic penalties on investors and other business participants in Nord Stream 2, being built by a company owned by the Russian gas giant Gazprom.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the new measures were “a clear warning to companies” that “aiding and abetting Russia’s malign influence projects will not be tolerated.” “Get out now, or risk the consequences,” he warned European contractors.

Senator Ted Cruz, Republican of Texas, which is a key exporter of fuels, is spearheading efforts to draft an even tougher sanctions bill and has called the Russian pipeline “a critical threat to America’s national security.”

The threat from Washington has drawn strong rebukes from European leaders, who called it interference in Europe’s sovereign right to set energy policy.

“The EU’s position on US sanctions against European companies that carry out legitimate and lawful activities under European law is unequivocal,” the EU’s foreign policy chief, Joseph Borrell, said in a written statement last month. “They are unacceptable and contrary to international law, and the Union firmly opposes them,” he added.

The sanctions threat has created uncertainty about how Nord Stream 2, which is described as 94 percent complete, will go forward.

European business representatives say the dispute threatens to further sour the transatlantic alliance, which has already been strained under the Trump administration.
