The Waller County District Attorney’s Office assigned its own investigators to find out what happened and to determine if charges were warranted.
Witnesses claim the teenager was taunting the pack of bicyclists with his truck, trying to spew exhaust over them. https://t.co/S9qjFluvsX

On Monday, The DA’s Office announced the driver would be charged with six counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count for each cyclist injured. Three of them were seriously hurt, according to an attorney representing them.
“Rolling Coal” might be limited to the US. Some truck drivers get in front of Teslas and practice it. It is illegal in many states, but not in Texas! #ElectricVehicles #Tesla

A witness said the teen was taunting the cyclists by “rolling coal” — or blowing exhaust smoke — as he passed them on Sept. 25. He then hit the cyclists who were in front of him. The teen stayed at the scene and spoke to police, but was released and wasn’t charged.
The District Attorney’s Office said the case was not handled appropriately by investigators and they chose not to reach out to the office when advised to do so.
Authorities said the teen surrendered on Monday after the charges were filed. His name hasn’t been released because he is a juvenile.
Waller police response
Waller Police Chief Bill Llewellyn agreed that the situation was mishandled but denied that it had anything to do with the driver’s connections. The DA’s Office had previously said the teen has connections to Waller city officials. Authorities said there’s no evidence the teen’s connections played a role in the investigation.

Well, I am a cyclist but cyclists themselves are responsible for this behavior as they ride in groups and block traffic. Second cyclists have the highest personal income levels as a high end road bike can cost 10000 dollars. I have personally witnessed poor behavior on the roads by these cyclists as they taunt drivers of vehicles as it goes both ways.
Personally I believe that these group bicycle rides should be made illeagle especially on crowed roads also the current infrastructure can not sustain it.
Trust me when I tell you this that I am treated civilly by motorists when I don’t don the costume. The costume represents arrogant rich people on expensive toys.
This is where they killed Sandra Bland for a lane change without signal, while no other cars were present.
They also greatly prefer white property owners as the only legal voters.
I think I would like to give Texas to Mexico in exchange for the Baja peninsula. Yes, I definitely would. This be where father rapers dwell.
Where else but Texas…..We should build a wall around that state.
Whoever would ride a bicycle in Texas in the first place is obviously a Democrat (socialist)…
“Now in Russia, they got it mapped out so that everyone pulls for everyone else—that’s the theory, anyway. But what I know about is Texas…And down here… you’re on your own.” – Loren Visser, Blood Simple
In the 60s the minimum wage was $1.20. Inflation adjusted its the equivalent of $25 2021 dollars. But the issue is that most white kids are solidly middle class and don’t flip burgers anymore. Same reason why welfare was gutted. Racist reasons.
Those who cry socialism now are the product of it. The middle class was created by labor unions and the left taking power with FDR. But now they wanna pull the ladder out from under the newcomers, or get rich by making it harder for them to thrive. Hypocrite moh-rohns.
I graduated high school in 1966. The challenge for me at the time was to somehow stay out of the Vietnam War. My dad got me a good summer job in the paper mill he worked at. I could make enough in the summer and on holiday vacation relief to go to the University of Wisconsin. Full-time in-state tuition at the time was $65 per semester. Reagan killed the unions and now most of those paper-mill workers in northern Wisconsin are destitute. Those working class kids like me now have very few options. Those going to college end up with sometimes 100s of thousands in debt. Neo-liberals can all go to Hell right with the neocons.
