Invalid elderly are dying in Mariupol due to technical challenges moving them

Continued Combat is Destroying More Lives in Mariupol

[ Editor’s Note: With most of the city secure but for the last steel mill position, Lancaster has refocused his reporting on finding those who have not been able to get out of the city.

They tend to be elderly, some fearful that if they leave what is left of their apartments, someone will take them. The last ones still there are those who are difficult to move.

The drama for today is an elderly lady who has had a stroke and a broken hip, so there is no option of rough carrying her out in a blanket, as that could kill her. She needs a doctor and an ambulance to carry her out safely, and they are usually fully absorbed in the working hospitals.

Russian soldiers seem to have organized blocks where they are trying to find these last survivors of the city battle to get some aid to them, water and food being most critical, and triage them for medical care.

This Russian soldier told the film crew that a doctor would have to come to her, due to the condition she is in. The Azov people holding out is contributing to the killing of these last people, by tying up Donbas and Russian troops from completing the needed triage and assessment of the damaged civilian areas, a huge task for a city this size, with this much destruction.

News came out today that yesterday’s claim of hostages, some from Azov member families might be hyped. Initially a 300 number was floated, which by afternoon, was up to several thousand, which makes one wonder where the food and water has been coming from to feed that number of people, and that Azov may be faking the human shield civilians to protect itself from being smoked out.

Video was shown of a small group of women and children, but which might have been video from another location weeks ago. The Azov people seem to have their instructions from Kiev to keep the Russian and Donbas forces tied up in Mariupol for as long as possible, so those Donbas troops cannot be moved to new areas where they are needed.

Zelensky thinks that the more invested NATO is in supplying him, the more they are on the hook to not let him go under, and he will eventually get the air cover and full NATO intervention that he wants.

NATO may already be planning to come in, but wants the Russian and Donbas forces worn down before doing so. The Kiev Ukies are in fact, cannon fodder for NATO… Jim W. Dean ]
