TASS: Russian Politics & Diplomacy – Russian senator says joint anti-terror fight to help Russia, Turkey mend ties
“I believe that precisely interaction in this sphere will help clear the road of cooperation in other spheres from debris,” the senator said.
“In the conflict with Turkey, Russia behaved as a great power in the true sense of this word – it didn’t get hysterical, didn’t engage in saber-rattling and didn’t force the events,” Klintsevich said.
In the senator’s opinion, it was absolutely right for Russia “to decide against driving Turkey into the corner to leave it room for a maneuver.”
“As a result, the sides didn’t cross the no-return point in their relations, although, truth be told, they were close to this in some periods,” the Russian senator said.
