Without getting a bit closer, I would say 1 of 3 choices: gray wolf, gray fox, or coyote. All 3 species live there. Looks healthy.
The dead giveaway will be the tracks. I might have vision issues, but even I can’t mess up the distinctive tracks.
Me thinks young coyote also. Shape of back, tail slight upward curl at very end of it. Had experience about twenty years ago riding my horse, who’s gone now, but in any case was riding trail and about thirty feet ahead one crossed the trail, thought it was a dog for a minute then brain said not dog, had slight line down it’s back and different ears, so rode on as it went up small embankment to my left, was only about an six foot rise, and it turned and sat down, so was facing me. With me sitting on my horse was about eye level, just maybe twelve or fifteen feet away. Sat watching each other around five minutes, then I decided to mosey on, let him have the space, was interesting.
Gordon notes being older people, though could argue, could say same about self, and with wear of truth feel ancient, but the press of brightness shades differently on those who have it, compelled to use it one way or another. The video second one driving, reality narrate, cool. Last note, Carol your voice is nice to listen to, feminine wihout trying to be. I know you know how to put it down when counts, just saying no one would ever mistake your voice for a male, lol. Appreciate the videos.

I drive for a living and keep the speed limit. I can’t tell you how many foxes and deer I brake for. Very few coyote sightings but don’t they also belong?
Hit one on motorcycle last year. It survived and I had a moment or two. JD was on the back.
