Obama-appointed judge rejects effort to block Congress from declaring Biden winner

[ Editor’s Note: This is the first Trump Steal legal proceeding where I have seen “sanctions” brought up by the judge for not only filing a frivolous injunction suit, but foregoing even notifying those being targeted.
Sure there was no time to do that and beat the January 6, Congressional continuing circus, with Trump supporters trying to snatch the grand prize away by hook or crook.
I am beginning to think that these folks don’t have a problem dividing the country. I think their motivation is that with each fabricated court case they lose, the Trump base will be more fired up to exact revenge against all those who resisted the attempted election hijacking.
What I see going on is Republicans netting themselves votes for 2022 and 2024. Federal court judges are neither idiots, nor babes in the woods, hence the huge record of failed litigation by the Trump legal team.
But they were spending other people’s money, not their own. If they had been footing the bill, they would not have been so quick to jump on the attack of our democracy train. Whatever happens, those involved will be marked for life for what they attempted to do.
Biden is also in a tight spot for “wanting to move forward,” in regards to not wanting to investigate any illegal wrongdoings by those involved in The Steal. If he takes that path, he will birth an opposition among those that supported getting rid of Trump with the anticipation that justice would be served regarding his crimes.
Biden needs to let his Justice Department, or better yet, a special prosecutor make that call on all illegal actions by the Trump gangsters, because as Glenn Kirschner has made his trademark saying, “Justice Matters”. A US federal judge appointed by former President Barack Obama has dealt the Trump camp yet another blow in its legal efforts to overturn the victory of former Vice President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.
Judge James Boasberg denied on Monday the request for a preliminary injunction against Congress and Vice President Pence, warning the plaintiffs of sanctions from the court.
“Their failure to make any effort to serve or formally notify any Defendant … renders it difficult to believe that the suit is meant seriously,” the judge wrote in a seven-page decision.
“Courts are not instruments through which parties engage in such gamesmanship or symbolic political gestures. As a result, at the conclusion of this litigation, the Court will determine whether to issue an order to show cause why this matter should not be referred to its Committee on Grievances for potential discipline of Plaintiffs’ counsel.”
President Donald Trump has not conceded defeat in the November 3 race, claiming to be the true winner of the election.
“Plaintiffs’ theory that all of these laws are unconstitutional and that the Court should instead require state legislatures themselves to certify every Presidential election lies somewhere between a willful misreading of the Constitution and fantasy,” the judge wrote, adding that it was “not a stretch to find a serious lack of good faith here.”
US Congress is set to vote Wednesday to certify votes declaring Biden the winner of the November 3 presidential election.
The lame-duck reportedly told the Georgian secretary of state that he needs to “find 11,780 votes,” to overturn the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, which he lost to former Vice President Joe Biden, according to a leaked audio of his phone conversation with Brad Raffensperger.
“I think that [the call] was deeply troubling, and I think everybody ought to listen to the full hour of it,” House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney (Wyo.), the highest-ranking Republican woman in Congress, told reporters Monday.
Even though Raffensperger is a fellow Republican, some Trump allies pointed the finger at Democrats.
“This is typical Democrats. They attack the president for everything. I think it’s ridiculous what the Democrats are doing, but it doesn’t surprise me,” said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), a vocal ally whom Trump will award the Presidential Medal of Freedom next week.

Obama at the least had a stronger finish than his start. I like when he gave Netanyahu the brush off. Not that I’m a big fan of Obama; but the Republicans are evil on steroids.
The filing of frivolous baseless lawsuits for political reasons, should be against the law and punishable with some language that has teeth. We need the EXAMPLES to be made among politicals and the wealthy, at a higher rate than they make them among us poor.
Right now it is Just Us. This is why, this continues,…and the media loves it, which makes it worse. Harming the democracy, inciting a riot, and wasting our money, is much worse than smoking weed or missing a taillight, both of which can result in summary execution.
This judge needs to show that what he just said, is not just ‘toughtalk” because nobody with any sense thinks he is any more serious than the frivolous suit.
That pos gave the US the ACA or as you people would call it “Obamacare” which is probably helping to pay for your meds. That same pos gave the world an agreement with Iran that your monkey who’s not getting off of people’s back canceled on his first day to start a war.
