Texas Ramp Project Saves Veteran By Building A Ramp

The Texas Ramp Project has done it again, this time helping our fellow disabled veterans in Wichita Falls. The ramp that they have donated is a huge step for this veteran.

Hoffart, a disabled veteran who has served the country for 42 years as a Navy and Air force is elated.

Before this ramp was installed, the veteran had a hard time accessing his own home. He was unable to come and go as he pleased due to severe knee pain brought by a possible infection.

Now with this new structure in place, the veteran can move at his own pace with the help of a mobility aid. It will be a huge improvement for this disabled veteran, allowing him to have a little more independence.

The ramp is already in place and assembled. The only thing left to do is the final treatment of the wood so that it can stand up to all types of weather conditions.

The future is looking brighter for our disabled veterans with projects like these. Ramps bring convenience to those who have mobility devices such as knee scooters or wheelchairs, creating independence and better living all over the country. In fact, the Texas Ramp Project already has plans to build its next ramp on March 5.

Who Are The Texas Ramp Project

The Texas Ramp Project is a nonprofit organization that builds ramps for qualified adults with disabilities in Dallas County. Established in 1985, what started as a wheelchair ramp for a friend has grown and helped people with financial needs. They have already donated thousands of ramps all over the city at zero cost to the recipient and aim to do more in the future.

They believe that no disabled veteran should be left behind when it comes to potential health hazards, working with Veteran Affairs and other organizations.

Jeffrey K. Silverman, 25 years resident of the former Soviet Union, since October 1991, resides in Tbilisi Georgia worked with Radio Free Europe, crime, corruption and terrorism report. USAR, 100th Division Training, Fort Knox and Blue Grass Army Chemical Weapons Depot, ROTC program, University of Kentucky bases: decorated non-wartime veteran, 19D, Calvary Scout. Jeffrey has a track record in breaking through language barriers and bureaucracies to perform due diligence under unconventional circumstances.

He has also served as Editor-in-Chief of the Georgian Times and Azerbaijan Today, whilst undertaking freelance journalism and due diligence for various confidential clients. Has specialized in conflict zones, mostly in Georgia, Azerbaijan, and countries of Central Asia; MSc Degree plus University of Kentucky, provided with full-tuition scholarship based on Cherokee roots and academic standing, family escaped “trail of tears” while passing Ohio in the harsh winter; one set of Eastern European grandparents: Lithuanian-Polish Jews.

Completed advanced degree, MSc plus 40 credits, in cooperation with Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce, studied theoretical frameworks for the analysis of political systems, conflict resolution, international science, and technology policy.
