Yalchyn Makhmudov who was very close to Eldar Makhmudov and Sheikh SohrabAliyev, leader of Sumgait Wahhabi extremists were arrested by the Interior ministry of Azerbaijan for supporting and organizing extremists and supplying forces to Isis.
According to Sizinyol website, Yalchyn Mahmoudov a relative of Eldar Makhmudov, the former Minister of national security of Azerbaijan, supported by the disbanded Azerbaijani security ministry should erred the task of supporting the activities of Wahhabi organizations, resolving disputes, helping expand the influence of Wahhabi groups in central and southern Azerbaijan and conducting underground activities of Wahhabis have assumed, but he was arrested along with Sumgait Wahhabis’ leader, Sohrab Sheikh Aliyev, during an Azerbaijani Interior ministry operation.
According to this report Azerbaijan former ministry of security national officials were ordered by Eldar Mahmoudovro release Wahhabis if and once arrested by state officials.
According to the confessions of the arrested officials of the ministry of national security, after a six month detention by the Interior ministry and legal entities for carrying and hiding firearms in his house Sohrab Sheikh Aliev (the leader of Sumgait Wahhabis) was released by this ministry.
