BEIRUT, LEBANON – The Russian Air Force reportedly delivered a new supply of weapons to Syria this evening after two of their airlifters were tracked arriving in southwestern Latakia.
According to the website Flight Tracker, two Antonov An-124 airlifters arrived at the Hmeimim Airbase in southwestern Latakia this evening.
This move by the Russian Air Force comes just weeks after the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a large-scale offensive inside the Hama Governorate’s northwestern countryside.
In the past, the Russian Air Force has increased its transport flights to Syria during the SAA’s offensives. So there is a strong indication that the Russian military is transporting more weapons to the country.
