…from PressTV, Tehran

[ Editor’s Note: Gosh, the first thing I have to ask is, “Dear Russian command,  Thank you for sharing this with us. But why have you been sitting on this information and imagery all this time when the public could have been pushing for a major Pentagon inspector general investigation?”

VT has been following this resource looting scourge for some time. It is discussed inside government, but mostly quietly, as those involved would kill people in two seconds to discourage their being apprehended and prosecuted. This kind of looting has gone on to where it is accepted simply as part of the fabric of government and foreign policy.

Some would say that politics and serving your country has morphed into various gangs fighting for control over the looting spoils. The Dems came out in the open recently, howling about the Trump pullout from Northern Syria. Why would they care? Kurds do not have absentee ballots to vote in 2020, or dual citizenship…yet.

Many analysts just see the Israeli Lobby hand involved, which can easily manipulate either the Dems or Repubs on almost any foreign policy issue via their usual phone call instructions to our puppet Congress.

Mainstream media is not so stupid that it has not known about this for ages. We know they monitor VT, all the key material that is published here, and the phone almost never rings. None of them to know more, or debate us on the issue as in claiming we are conspiracy theorists. They typically use fake bloggers to do that crap.

All of the professional military organizations are on the spot here. If they look the other way and do nothing, that is their tacit approval that this kind of looting is just fine if there is any claimed benefit to the home folks, the most worn out and fake being “defending America”. Defending America from Syria?…give me a break.

Another key red line issue is private military contractors. There should be strict international regulation of every aspect of it. Background checks on everyone involved, personnel all databased, and constant monitoring that their activities are within the law. I look forward to this debate someday.

Any PMCs operating outside official monitoring should be considered criminal military threats, and gone after just like we are supposed to do with terrorists, apprehend and prosecute them.

Gordon has been writing about this rot for years now, and not a soul with a reputation to lose has ever challenged him on it. That is one of the reasons we get the inquiries we do from overseas entities wanting briefings about what is wrong with America, what happened. Our short answer is “organized crime”.

Ghengis Khan was not spreading freedom and democracy when he swept eastward. He was a Trump guy, fully on board the Uni-polarism concept he knew what was best.

The irony of it is that while Russia has consistently taken the multi-polar approach, building international agreements to enhance security for everybody, guess who wants to tear all of that down?

If all of our security organizations cannot even prevent large scale official looting like this then we might want to consider rebuilding the whole structure from the ground up.

What we have been shown is they have no interest in reforming themselves, but quite the opposite. They want to keep the gravy train rolling Jim W. Dean ]

Is the US military really serving its oath when we are seeing more evidence of taxpayer paid mercenary behavior with sophisticated looting, with Congress and even the various inspector generals looking the other way? Even the Vet orgs have not uttered a word against this trend. Why? Are they that stupid? Are they afraid to speak out? Were they that easy to propagandize to the point where anything and everything the US military does is beyond question?

Russia, citing satellite imagery, says the United States has been smuggling Syrian oil to other countries under the protection of its troops before and after the defeat of the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group in the region.

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said on Saturday that “the space intelligence images showed that oil was actively extracted and massively exported for processing outside Syria, under the reliable protection of US troops.”

Konashenkov stressed that the convoys were guarded by US private military companies and special operations forces.

“Tank trucks guarded by US military servicemen and private military companies smuggle oil from fields in eastern Syria to other countries and in the event of any attack on such a convoy, US special operations forces and combat aviation are immediately used to protect it,” Konashenkov said.

The Russian defense ministry spokesman added that the Syrian oil was extracted with the use of the equipment supplied by leading Western corporations bypassing all US sanctions.

Given that the cost of one barrel of oil smuggled from Syria is $38, the monthly revenue of that “private business” exceeds $30 million, Russia’s TASS news agency quoted Konashenkov as saying.

“Revenues from smuggling Syrian oil arrive at numbered bank accounts of US private military companies and intelligence services through brokerage firms that interact with it,” Konashenkov said. “To secure such a continuous financial flow free from control and taxes, the top officials at the Pentagon and Langley will be willing to guard and protect oil wells in Syria from the imaginary ‘hidden cells’ of Daesh indefinitely.”

In a major U-turn in US military policy, the White House announced on October 6 that the US would be withdrawing its forces from northeastern Syria, clearing the path for an expected Turkish incursion into the region.

Three days later, Turkey launched the offensive with the aim of purging the northern Syrian regions near its border of US-backed Kurdish militants, whom it views as terrorists linked to local autonomy-seeking militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump approved of a new plan to keep 500 American troops in northeastern Syria to allegedly protect oil fields and keep them from falling into the hands of the Daesh terrorist group.

Pentagon chief Mark Esper confirmed on Friday that the United States plans to strengthen its military positions in Syria’s Dayr al-Zawr province in the near future to allegedly prevent terrorists from accessing oil fields.

The United States is studying how to move forces in the region “to ensure the safety of oil fields,” Esper added.
