The video below reminds me of living in Washtenaw County, albeit in a condo on Geddes Road with a 9/11 parked out front. This was nearly 50 years ago and I used to run evenings, across the US 23 bridge, weaving up to Plymouth Rd and back down Huron Parkway. I had my own Arbery experience, being asked to explain at gunpoint to two Washtenaw County deputies why a White U of M grad student and USMC reservist (decorated combat veteran) was out at night.
My first thought was to disarm them at leave them bleeding at the side of the road while setting fire to their car, but my better angels got my PTSD under control. Then again, I would have more than simply gotten away with it because of “good friends” and a wealth of white privilege.
Michigan has some great police departments, certainly the State Police, Grand Rapids, Lansing for sure but then East Lansing, Washtenaw County, Ann Arbor, and a handful in Northern Michigan, utterly corrupt.
I remember a call years and years ago from a Circuit Court Judge in Jackson, Michigan, a friend, who asked for to protect him for a couple of days after he received death threats from the local sheriff’s department over a civil rights lawsuit. Simple how it is…worse now, much worse…

Obama seems to expose alot of the racism that still exists in this country and then the orange blob unleashed all these animals.
As Frank Zappa said : “I’m not black, but there’s a whole lotta times I wish I could say I’m not white.”
