Testimony on Operation Warp Speed: Researching, Manufacturing, & Distributing a Safe & Effective Coronavirus Vaccine

Chairman Blunt, Ranking Member Murray and distinguished members of this committee. It is an honor to appear before you today to discuss the Department of Health and Human Services’ Operation Warp Speed efforts and the Department’s efforts on vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics. We are grateful for this opportunity to address how each of our agencies and offices are harnessing innovation to prevent, diagnose, and treat the novel coronavirus SARSCoV-2.
COVID-19 is a new disease, caused by a novel (or new) coronavirus that has not previously been seen in humans. This new disease, officially named Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) by the World Health Organization (WHO), is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. There are many types of human coronaviruses including some that commonly cause mild upperrespiratory tract illnesses. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses. Some cause illness in people, and others, such as canine and feline coronaviruses, only infect animals.
Carol graduated from Riverside White Cross School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio and received her diploma as a registered nurse. She attended Bowling Green State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Literature. She attended the University of Toledo, College of Nursing, and received a Master’s of Nursing Science Degree as an Educator.
She has traveled extensively, is a photographer, and writes on medical issues. Carol has three children RJ, Katherine, and Stephen – one daughter-in-law; Katie – two granddaughters; Isabella Marianna and Zoe Olivia – and one grandson, Alexander Paul. She also shares her life with her husband Gordon Duff, many cats, and two rescues.

lizzie, We have no natural immunity to any part of coronavirus. That is what makes this a pandemic that is spiraling out of control as people stop physical distancing.

There is little chance your immune system, no matter how healthy it is, will be able to fight off COVID-19 if you have been truly exposed. Safety measures of strict hand washing, not touching your face, mask in public and always, always physical distancing are the factors that MAY keep you safe. Just not being in contact with coronavirus is the only tactic that will work at this time. Evidence that having coronavirus, but not having a lasting immunity to it, is strange, but also means you can get it more than once. The choice of title for this vaccine program was ill choosen.
Every other country has a safe vaccine, or better, a treatment. It appears Russia has a treatment almost ready. Totally safe, and effective against all Corona Virus.
US Government isn’t interested in treating the virus, in fact US Government gives zero fucks about treating people for Corona Virus. US Government, Gates manufactured vaccines are deadly toxins, and made to kill people. US developed
COVID-19 has turned out to be very weak, and affected countries have created cures, and effective treatments while US Government is still developing it’s poisonous vaccines.

I do not believe that any other country has a vaccine for coronavirus, safe or not. You bring up government….Trump says this will all blow over, just give it time and drink the Clorox product of your choice,shine light anywhere you can, and above all else do not get tested because if you are not tested you will not have the virus. THAT part of the government )Trump and White House} does not give a flying f..k if we live or die as long as there is a presidential election and that Trump wins and the Republicans keep their foot on the throat of America.
