Poll:Acceptable Deaths Due to COVID-19 According to Political Affiliation

Health Editor’s Note: More than 157,000 deaths to COVID-19 is not an acceptable number whatever your political party affiliation.  That being said, take a look at the numbers of Republicans who think that so many deaths are acceptable. This is down right scary…..Carol

  1. The death totals are deliberately overinflated. Anyone dying WITH Covid-19 is categorized as dying OF Covid-19. They want to make it seem worse than it actually is to promote fear. How many deaths would a normal flu season produce?

    • Rpm1945, If anything the death totals are light…not overinflated. Death certificates only list causes of deaths, not all the things wrong with a person when he or she died. If he or she dies from COVID-19 that is the cause listed on the death certificate. If anything this administration would like to try to cut the numbers of cases and deaths from coronavirus.

CDC estimates flu was associated with more than 35.5 million illness, more than 16.5 million medical visits, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths during the 2018-2019 flu season.
