Biden begins building a contrast between his administration and Trump’s with his Coronavirus team
…from CNN, Fauci is back
[ Editor’s Note: I had been wondering where Dr. Fauci was after not hearing or seeing a peep of him since before the election. I was beginning to think he might be in hiding until it was safe for him to come up for air, but he showed up with Wolf Blitzer today.
The main focus of the interview was the good news on the Pfizer vaccine, which he validated in spades with the usual caveats that it has not been peered reviewed yet, but was anticipated to be done quickly.
Along with the AstraZeneca Oxford vaccine due soon, he expects we will have two vaccines deployed by year end. Getting the quantities needed to get back to normal is going to take some time, as front line workers should be getting their earned first place in line.
The bad news was, as predicted, with cold weather keeping more people inside, and knuckleheads doing holiday gigs like Covid never existed, the current surge will only get worse.
When asked about what he thought of Biden’s Coronavirus commission, he said he had known and worked with most of them for a long time.
As I write, hospital capacity for Covid patients is filling up emergency rooms in states where people bought into the “it will all just go away someday” cop out. Some of these people are going to be their own Xmas Grinch that steals their own lives… Jim W. Dean ]
