Electoral College votes landslide for Biden – Trump now toast

Biden now goes on offense. Will that include action against the Trump Steal?

[ Editor’s Note: We got a ‘two-fer’ today. The electoral college vote went smoothly without any silliness. The reverse 307 vs 232 landslide is now the official history of Biden vs. Trump. And as a bonus, the vaccine shipments began arriving all over America for hospital front line workers to begin taking today.

Biden goes on the offensive with his speech today, but not overly so. As yours truly has long predicted, Trump has gone down by his own hand, primarily due to refusing to stop bluffing his way through his presidency. I had said he would give us a TV theatrical version of a president.

Losing is one thing, but by adding his attempt to steal the Biden election, Trump now has tattoos all over his face saying ‘lying cheat’ that will be visible forever until the worms erase them. And in what seems to have been some kind of Republican political suicide pact, the 17 state attorneys general and 126 members of the house have jumped onto the Trump ship of shame, and will always be remembered for what they attempted.



There are hero bookends for his sad smear on our election. To all the election workers, we owe our thanks for their holding the line against a Trump Steal that respected no boundaries of decency.

And then we had the State, Federal and Supreme Courts put their wooden stakes through the heart of the vampire Trump Steal legal cases, over and over, on similar grounds of lack of jurisdiction and any credible evidence.

No group of political operatives has ever so publicly humiliated the nation and themselves more than these Republican grifters. I can take a hot shower and wash off the spit sent flying my way. But for them, they will wear the scarlet letter R wherever they go, impostors among us.

It was a good day for democracy, and I pray that they keep coming to ease the pain we see, with so many suffering across the land. But at least the pain of having Mr. Trump as our acting chief of State will be one we will soon no longer have to endure… Jim W. Dean ]

  1. Elvin, why would Biden have to engage in “shenanigans” at this point? He won the election for Pete’s sake. Everyone but the true-believer Trumpsters know that.

  2. Trump is hardly toast. And, his devoted followers are not going away anytime soon. Much of the Republican Party has become a personality cult. It’s probably not correct to say they “believe” there was widespread fraud in the recent election, as that would suggest there might be some kind of evidence that might change their minds. In fact, these true believers become hostile to the very idea that there’s an objective reality that might conflict with their political goals. That’s why they’ve filed more that 50 bogus lawsuits, all of which have been thrown out of court. That’s why we have the Proud Boys out threatening violence against public officials who they disagree with. Whatever this leads to before January 20th, it will not bode well for the USA.

  3. The begrudgingly recalcitrant nature of the republican response to everything since Nov 12 or so, is unacceptable.
    If this is not met with a strong response, then it will happen again very soon. If the process needs fixing, then we fix the process, and if people need to be grabbed by the scruff of the neck, then they must be grabbed. Dam the politics.
