The idea is this; restaurant owners can take the tips from wait staff to pay cooks or even keep it for themselves.
This allows restaurant owners to lower the pay of back room staff and increase profitability by lowering labor costs.
Ad this to selling rotten food and reserving leftovers and you have the business model that put Trump’s Atlantic City ventures where they are today, awaiting the wrecking ball.
They can take part of it or all of it even though wait staff is typically, in the US, paid well under minimum wage which is only $7.25 per hour.
Trump owns dozens of restaurants. His idea is this, pay the cooks, maintenance, and buss staff next to nothing, as most are illegal aliens, but then cry over how little you are paying them and take money away from wait staff as part of a Bolshevik scheme of income evening out.
