At the 2:04 minute mark,

“To put it succinctly, the prior administration dismantled our nation’s immigration system in its entirety. When I started 27 days ago, I learned that we did not have the facilities available or equipped to administer the humanitarian laws that our congress passsed years ago.

“We did not have the personnel, policies, procedures or training to administer those laws.

“Quite frankly, the entire system was gutted.”

At the 4:04 minute mark,

“It takes time to build out of the depths of cruelty that the administration before us established.

“What we are seeing now at the border is the immediate result of the dismantlement of the system and the time that it takes to rebuild it from scratch.

“We have already begun to design and implement a new innovative way to address the needs of the population that was forced to remain in Mexico during the prior administration.”

Minute 25:28

“On January 19, one day before the new administration was to commence, an agreement with the Union of Immigration and Customs Enforcement [stipulated] that the union must approve any policy changes in the immigration arena. 

“I’ve been in government for almost 20 years. I’ve never seen a contract like that. And I certain haven’t seen a contract like that on the last day of an administration,” Mayorkas said.

Minute 26:20,

“There can be honest disagreements about policy, but there has to be an overriding credo; and that is loyalty to our institutions, and what they stand for, and the fundamental rule of law. And I find an agreement like that IN DERELICTION OF THAT DUTY.”

  1. The Central Americans,..are a far nicer people than many waves of immigrants that preceded them. And what many people have missed, is why did the evangelicals drive them north in numbers such as they did, while simultaneously spouting the same drivel you are here ?
    The ” illegal contracts “. A massive labor sorting and assimilation program while funneling resettlement contracts to friends. It was never about anti-immigration, it was about “I want that one, you can have this one”. A very Nasty intention and a stench from the bowels of cruelty. Maybe you missed, trump and friends all employ illegal immigrants. Full Stop.
