VT: The Syrian government admits to firing a surface to surface missile which impacted a short distance from the Dimona nuclear weapons plant in Israel’s Negev Desert.
Their statement is published below, explaining their reasons. This is a quote from that cryptic and threatening statement taking credit for the Dimona attack:

References to the May 4, 2013 sinking of an Israeli submarine by a Syrian helicopter off Latakia. Syria had accused those on the sub, Israeli commando teams the sub had retrieved, of staging a poison gas attack and of planting evidence, radio repeaters disguised as rocks, to blame it on the Syrian Arab Army. All of this is confirmed through sources in Russia and Syria.

Probably not going to get answer on this, but…why does no one (and I mean NO ONE) mention ‘site 911′(sick joke)? This is a US base in the very same area. It was put there to provide a trip wire, to mollify Israeli’s opposition to JCPOA. The fact that this was likely NOT a SAM5, as Israelis know what AD missiles going off sounds like..and clearly this was not in that vein, according to Israelis. Regardless, the fact that this evaded all AD in the area (the most secure in all Israel, per Bibi) and hit 18.4 miles from Dimona site, sends a message…but who to? Is it more likely that they would target near the US base, but not hit it? This would be a wake-up call like no other. Why would they not hit these sites? I believe they wanted to send a message, but not create an issue that would prompt a response. All in all this, seems to be far more likely than all the other scenarios.
I find this encouraging. It would be even more encouraging if those missiles were to find their way to the splendid and palatial addresses of the money masters whose families made an empire out of Venice, using it to assault western Christian European culture. Families that had been forced from Spain, some of whose precedents no doubt helped to eviscerate Rome.

The comments on Israeli sites are quite predictable and laughable. Israeli’s firmly believe that it was a SAM. How they square that with public statements from Israelis that it was the loudest explosion they ever heard, heard as far as the north of Israel no less, and also shook buildings far from Dimona.
