Dr. Anthony Fauci to Lead Discussion on COVID-19 Vaccines with Military Families amid Global Record-Breaking Cases in Blue Star Families Virtual Town Hall

Defense health experts and military leaders will host a discussion on the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines, information on the Omicron variant, and hospitalization statistics in the military- and Veteran-connected community

Washington, DC – On Wednesday, January 19th at 3:00 PM EST, Blue Star Families, a national non-profit dedicated to supporting military families, will host a virtual town hall titled Covid-19 In 2022: What Military & Veteran Communities Need To Know About The Omicron Variant, featuring Anthony Fauci, M.D., Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), U.S. National Institutes of Health, who will keynote a discussion on COVID-19 vaccine efficacy, share the latest information on the Omicron variant, and discuss the impact of the virus among the military community.

The panel, co-hosted by The American Red Cross, will also feature Secretary of Veterans Affairs Denis McDonough and will close with a Q&A session for service members, veterans, and their families.
