DB: A former Washington State trooper who was fired for refusing to get the COVID vaccine—and then went viral in a video in which he told the governor to “kiss my ass”—has died after being infected with the coronavirus, a source confirmed to The Daily Beast.

Robert LaMay became a hero to anti-vaxxers in October when he defied the state mandate and became one of dozens of troopers to lose their job over it.

Afterward, he told reporters that he did not trust the vaccine, despite overwhelming evidence that it is safe and effective at preventing severe disease.



The married father of four said he was also waiting for a sign from God that he should take it and never got one, and also said the government should not be mandating vaccines (even though governments have long required other vaccinations).

“You should not be forcing this,” he told KOMO at the time. “If you start forcing things like this what’s next?”

After leaving the patrol, LaMay embarked on media appearances and public speaking engagements, at one point appealing for gas money in a GoFundMe post. In a profile piece shortly after he resigned, LaMay said he was working as a traffic flagger.

There were unconfirmed reports last week that LaMay had been hospitalized with COVID and intubated. The Washington State Patrol announced his death on Friday but did not mention COVID. However, a source familiar with his situation told The Daily Beast that LaMay had been hospitalized with COVID-related pneumonia before his death.

“The amount of bashing and trashing him is heartbreaking,” the source said.

Washington State Patrol Chief John R. Batiste said in a statement that he was “deeply saddened” by the news of nutcase LaMay’s death.  Read more…

  1. I remember the Tuskegee experiment and the Henrietta Lacks story and forced sterilizations and euthanizations done to my people without their consent. I have been vaccinated for naturally occurring viruses as a child and in military. Covid is not a naturally occurring virus. I gir covid

    • I got covid and it didn’t even hurt. My healthy immune system fought very well. If you don’t want to be vaccinated, keep your immune system healthy.

    He probably would have had a better chance at being alive today if he had taken his COVID vaccinations and booster, but he’d rather join the Covidiots and play Russian Roulette with his body. He lost and I have no sympathy or empathy for arrogance when they have all the facts and choose to ignore them. What really galls me is begging on GoFundMe for others to pay your expenses after “cutting your nose off to spite your face.”

    • The pharmaceutical companies are not responsible if something goes wrong. I got covid from vaccinated friends. My healthy immune system did well fighting covid and it didn’t even hurt.

  5. Sadly, western medicine has no value for prevention.

    I find it unfortunate that these officers (who oppose vaccinations) would not voice their concerns when having to lock up marijuana offenders. Back in the mandatory minimum days I lost a 22 year old friend for 5 years. The offense a small home grow operation. Well, RIP Robert LaMay my good man.

    It has also been brought to our attention that cannabinoids attach to ACE-2 inhibitors and can essentially block the SAR2 virus from entering the system. CBD has a very promising role in preventing and treating this so called long COVID in combination with the other not to be mentioned treatments and preventative therapies for this Bio weapon: A weapon that has unleashed almost more insanity, surveillance, and “unAmerican”, security measures upon the world than an actual world war could ever do.

    • Right on, the same cops whining about a vaccine, threw millions into nasty prisons for decades without a second thought, and will continue to do so if they can.
      I have zero empathy for whatever fate befalls people with such hatred for their fellow citizens. They shoot us for tail lights and air fresheners, want immunity, and then cry about freedom. What a sick joke.

  6. Not to bite the hand that feeds, I have relatives that rep. for the industry and I work in healthcare. The informed consent I signed told me I was on my own with this vaccine and booster.

  7. Hey it is what it is. I probably have Covid fog. More likely the head truama(s). I believe there is a lot to learn about the Bio-weapon and it’s accompanying vaccine. The current Omnicron variant was a mild flu for me and all my coworkers in the small hospital where I work. I’ve seen several patients pass away with it, all with comorbidity’s a slight increase in death’s due to the numbers.
