6 Russian Transports Armed with Missiles Capable of Destroying Israel Land in Syria

Avia Pro: Six large landing ships of the Russian Navy, fully loaded with weapons, have arrived in Syria.

Six recent arrivals in the Mediterranean of Russian large landing ships, which, as previously stated, can be fully loaded with various types of weapons, due to the significant draft of the ships, have arrived in Syria. It is known that the campaign, with a length of more than 6 thousand nautical miles, is associated with ongoing exercises. Data on this subject were announced by representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.



“A detachment of landing ships of the Northern and Baltic Fleets, consisting of six large landing craft “Pyotr Morgunov”, “George the Victorious”, “Olenegorsky Miner”, “Korolev”, “Minsk” and “Kaliningrad” completed the passage around Europe and arrived in the eastern Mediterranean Sea in as part of the exercise of the Russian Navy, conducted under the general supervision of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov. The total length of the passage was more than 6000 nautical miles.”, – said in the message of the Russian defense department.

No other details have been announced, however, there are versions that after that Russian landing ships may head to the Black Sea, and according to another version, weapons intended for shipment to Iran may well be on board Russian warships. To date, none of these versions have received confirmation. At the same time, there is no information about the nature of the cargo on board the Russian large landing ships.
