UK, France agree to train Ukrainian marines
At the first summit between France and the UK since 2018, Sunak and French President Emmanuel Macron both confirmed that Friday’s meeting marks ‘a new beginning.’
London: British Premier Rishi Sunak said on Friday that the UK and France have agreed to train Ukrainian marines, helping to give Ukraine “a decisive advantage on the battlefield.”

Very good interview. The war is different, it is the first symmetric war since the Korean-war, if we accept, that the Vietnam war was a mixed, symmetric/asymmetric, war. The major point is, that the Russians can exiercise their army with combat experience, a major strategic advantage, if we think, that the time of asymmetric wars is over. In one point I differ with the point of view of Mr. Ritter. The Russians have no intention, I think, to shorten the war. 2 or 3 years more, weakens the West, mainly the European Union sustainalbe economically. At the moment, Nato will not be able to defend Europe against a Russian attack conventionally. So Putin will be in the position to blackmail Europe out of Nato. This was not very smart foreseen by the US admin. Keep the US in, the Russians out & the Germans down is not always the best solution.
