A former colonel in the US Army, and now a well-known military expert, Douglas McGregor spoke about the course of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. He made harsh statements in a conversation with the famous American TV presenter Tucker Carlson.
As McGregor noted, the United States is already beginning to understand that the Ukrainian army is suffering heavy losses.
Ukrainians are crushed. Even the Washington Times and the New York Times are finally starting to write the truth. They have terrible losses. We essentially saw the Russians destroy three separate armies assembled by the Ukrainians. And now a lot of people are wondering what’s really going on there
– said the expert.
In addition, McGregor noted that initially Russia was not interested in an armed conflict with Ukraine. But the actions of the West forced Moscow to do so.
The truth is that this war was not started by Russia, that Russia begged us not to drag Ukraine into NATO. We have ignored Russia, and she has made it clear that she will protect her national interests.

We cannot afford it. We cannot even afford a war with Russia, we are on the way to bankruptcy. The last thing Americans need is war. We have already seen that the Russians are ready to fight, they have already carried out a partial mobilization, and we cannot even conduct a normal recruitment into the army. Who are we fooling? We ran out of ammo before we even started a real fight.
