SF: The seventh day of the peace enforcement operation in Ukraine started with the further developments of Russian offensive operations in the north, east and south of the country.

Russian forces have been reportedly finishing the operation to encircle Nikolaev city. Mi-28 attack helicopters were spotted moving to support this advance.

Meanwhile, units of the Donetsk People’s Republics supported by the Russian military have been finalizing preparations for the offensive to take control of Mariupol city.

DPR sources also reported a fierce attack of the Ukrainian military on the city of Gorlovka. Four Kiev soldiers were killed and three others were injured, according to DPR. DPR forces also suffered casualties. The city remains in the hands of DPR. The attack on Gorlovka was likely an attempt to draw attention of the advancing DPR troops from Mariupol. In the previous days, the Ukrainian Army was actively shelling Gorlovka residential areas. Most likely, Kiev units wanted to spend their munitions before the withdrawal from the nearby positions.

As of March 2, the Russian Defense Ministry says that a total of 1,502 Ukrainian military infrastructure facilities were put out of action. Among them: 51 command posts and communication centers of the Ukrainian armed forces, 38 S-300, Buk M-1 and Osa anti-aircraft missile systems, 51 radar stations.

The defense ministry added that Russian forces destroyed 47 aircraft on the ground and 11 aircraft in the air, 472 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 62 multiple rocket launchers, 206 field artillery pieces and mortars, 336 units of special military vehicles, 46 unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Russian military added that in order to suppress information attacks against Russia, the technological facilities of the Security Service of Ukraine and the 72nd Main Center for Psychological Operations were hit with high-precision weapons in the city of Kyiv. The hardware broadcasting of the TV tower was disabled.

Also, the forces of the operational-tactical and army aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces delivered a massive air strike on the military infrastructure of Ukraine. 67 objects were hit.

The Russian side also officially confirmed the control of the city of Kherson. Units of the Ukrainian Army in Tokmak and Vasilievka reportedly surrendered to the advancing forces.

  1. This operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has clear reasons, specific defined goals and objectives and a fixed time frame. Something is not being told to us, and this is understandable, but there is a lot of information in the public domain, and it gives a complete picture of what is happening.

    In principle, this operation is forced, provoked by the Ukrainian side, which:

    a) did not fulfill the Minsk Agreements signed by her twice, continuing terror against the residents of Donbass for eight years and trying to expose the Russian Federation, the guarantor of the agreements, as a laughing stock and an indirect culprit of the hell happening there;

    b) set its official goal of joining NATO, which directly threatened Russia’s security;

    c) loudly announced the rejection of non-nuclear status;

    d) actually blocked the civilians of Crimea, depriving them of water and light. The problem was solved, but it was expensive and not always effective, and Kiev’s goal was precisely a humanitarian catastrophe.

    To be honest, for the United States, even one such reason would be enough to bomb a neighbor into the Stone Age, we are not the United States, the persuasion went on for eight years. And even now – no one offends a neighbor once again, no one encroaches on its independence and territorial integrity, excluding regions that have made their own choice. But, hand on heart, Donbass is not Ukraine for a long time, and the occupied part of it was really occupied, with martial law, occupation administrations and an enhanced regime of work of special services.

    So there is only one goal – to bring the neighbor to a normal state. This is denazification, this is demilitarization, this is neutral status, and that’s it. From there, the methods are surgical strikes, slow progress, the absence of an occupation regime (the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation do not enter large cities, local authorities retain them in small ones).

    And what about Kiev and Kharkiv? The main problem there is looting, which has gained an epic scale, clashes with friendly fire, because cities are controlled by as many as four law enforcement agencies, often without interaction with each other, supply disruption, because local authorities do nothing but press approaches… And only restoring order and cleaning up gangs can save these residents.
