H.R. 6666 is track & trace program, not evil plot to destroy freedom

[VT Editors: The paid trolls and conspiracy morons are at it again, this time blatantly misrepresenting HR.6666 as some evil, deadly plot. Nope, not even close, it is simply a track and trace programme of the type used with great success in many countries including South Korea and India.

Kerala, in southern India, has a very high density population of 35 million but has barely been affected by the virus thanks to their early and widespread implementation of a track & trace programme:

What the world can learn from Kerala about how to fight covid-19

The inside story of how one Indian state is flattening the curve through epic levels of contact tracing and social assistance.

South Korea managed to not even have to impose a lockdown and kept it’s economy running flat out.

Sadly, there is no vaccine for stupidity, hence we have morons breaking the lockdown all over the US and many claiming ‘God is bigger than the virus’ or that the virus is a hoax. If Americans could drop the stupidity act and had adopted such a programme months ago, then they would be looking at dozens of deaths, not tens of thousands; but no, they prefer to bleat nonsense about Bill Gates, Illuminati 666 numerology, and implantable vaccine chips via forced ‘testing’.

Oh if only COVID-19 only killed the stupid…]

False claim: H.R. 6666 bill allows strangers to enter your house, test you for COVID-19 and take family members into quarantine

Social media users have been sharing images online that claim bill H.R. 6666, introduced by Democratic Congressman Bobby Rush and also known as the COVID-19 Testing, Reaching, And Contacting Everyone (TRACE) Act, will allow the government to forcibly enter homes, test and remove family members, including children, to be taken into quarantine.

Examples can be seen  here  and  here .

One post reads: “Nancy Pelosi is trying to pass a law called HR6666 (the irony is stifling) If this passes strangers can come in your house and take (by force if needed) your family members including your children to a quarantined area. Please tell me I’m in a nightmare!!”

H.R. 6666 was introduced by Rush on May 1, 2020 ( here ). The bill will allocate $100 billion for COVID-19 testing and contact tracing by using mobile health units.

The bill says nothing about forced testing, forced entry to people’s houses or the removal of family members to be quarantined. In a statement to Reuters via email, Rush said participation would be voluntary:

“Contact Tracing is not a new idea and is regarded by the CDC as a ‘key strategy for preventing further spread of COVID-19’  My bill, the COVID-19 TRACE Act, is about appropriately and safely using this time-tested principle to better assist the communities that are the most impacted by the coronavirus – namely the African-American community – through voluntary testing and door-to-door outreach.”

Rush added: “Leading health experts have continued to state that increased testing and contact tracing is the only way we will get back to normal and safely reopen our economy, and we must ensure that African Americans and other medically underserved communities are not left behind yet again.”

The bill authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services “to award grants to eligible entities to conduct diagnostic testing for COVID–19, and related activities such as contact tracing, through mobile health units and, as necessary, at individuals’ residences, and for other purposes.” ( here )

Section 2 of the bill says the grants can be given to entities who can provide services including “testing individuals and providing individuals with services related to testing and quarantine at their residences” as necessary. This does not imply that individuals will be forcibly tested or removed into quarantine.

According to the bill, grant recipients can include federally qualified health centers, school-based health clinics, disproportionate share hospitals, academic medical centers, non-profit organizations, institutions of higher education, or high schools.

Part E of the bill states: “Nothing in this section shall be construed to supersede any Federal privacy or confidentiality requirement.” The bill has nevertheless faced a backlash over privacy concerns from users on social media  ( herehere ).

On April 30, Republican Senators said they would introduce a privacy bill to address concerns about contact tracing apps being developed by technology companies. Google and Apple have been working with public health experts and researchers to write apps that people can use to notify those they have come in contact with if they contract COVID-19 ( here ).

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says contact tracing is a key strategy for preventing the spread of COVID-19 ( here ).

VERDICT

False. The bill would provide grants for organizations to provide testing and contact-tracing services to help prevent further spread of COVID-19. It does not authorize the government to enter homes, forcibly test for the virus or remove family members to be quarantined.

  1. And we really need the Patriot Act, DHS along with the Federal Reserve , IRS, CIA, FBI and a host of other draconian and evil acts passed for the Khazarian Mafia and their lackies. Orwell was close to what we’re being subjected to, but it’ll get worse!

    • Exactly, Korea inroduced it in January and was barely affected, no lockdown, no slow down of industries, all due to a simple mobile phone app and a population not too disenfranchised to ignore it or think it sinister.

    • Korea was a 3 step success. When it found its first Covid case it did not wait around to see “if it was a hoax or go away on its own”. By the end of the first week it gathered its top medical companies together for a meeting and tasked the to working 24/7 to come up with a test. I week later they had one. It seems like it put its contact and tracing program together just as quickly and did like China, found the clusters and got everybody into isolation. Japan, Hong Kong, even Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and India did that same, leaving their economies intact. So now, the West, the Trump regime in particular, knows his reelection will sink or swim on his failure, so he had nothing to lose by trying to lie his way out of it or blame it on anyone else available.

  2. One of the best aspects of publishing articles that debunk conspiracy nonsense is that it gives us a good, clear look at which commenters have something useful to say and which are caught in a delusional state.

  3. I would prefer you not mention that magical, i am sorry that shithole place in India. F U all I am over-sharing again.

    • South, If you can’t write a semi-literate comment please go away. Yours wasn’t worth anyone’s time to read, like listening to a Trump briefing on using disinfectants and UV light to combat Covid in the body, you know, by “sticking stuff inside your body somehow…to kill it right away”.

  4. It wasnt used in NZ. True in general, BUT there is potential for miss-use if not controlled. Its like anything, not the method its the user. Same with 5G, its NOT spyware but could serve as a spy tool if someone so desires. The data collected should have an expiry date…
