NYPD Officer arrested quickly in response to choking incident


NYPD has arrested a David Afanador, 39, for attempted strangulation and strangulation.

Afandor is an NYPD officer.

He is expected to be arraigned Thursdan.

There is evidence that an NYPD officer intervened on behalf of the victim, a first for NYPD, something we look forward to more of.
