This attack was a declaration of war by Israel on Lebanon. All the major players in the region know that. Given all that I’ve seen and from listening to and reading what people have to say from Lebanon to US to Israel I don’t believe there’s a shadow of a doubt but that Israel launched the Missile(s) that blew Beirut apart. While people wonder at what might be the response from Hezbollah I’m far more interested in discovering how the actual costs to Lebanon will be met and by costs, I mean not just the costs of rebuilding the Port and City of Beirut but the costs of restoring the health of the Lebanese People including all those maimed, disfigured and grievously injured by this attack. Those who died cannot be compensated but their families and communities must be compensated for both their emotional and economic losses.
Sadly I see no circumstance whereby Lebanon and her People can and will be compensated by Israel unless and until the EU and US and China insist that Israel do compensate Lebanon and her People. I strongly suggest to China that it withdraw from all of it’s promised investment in both Haifa and Ashdod and cut Israel from its Belt & Road so that the benefits of East-West Maritime Trade accrue to Beirut and Lebanon rather than to Haifa and Ashdod while Israel licks its wounds for the immediate future.
If a Jew dies then the * Tribe * demands and receives monetary compensation till forever however unfortunately the same laws and principles have never been applied to * Humans * or if it did then the * Tribe * would have been Bankrupt by now owing due to Jewish led Genocides .
