[ Editor’s Note: VT has worked this JCPOA story since its beginning, and little did we know that it was to go on and on thanks to unipolarism, à la Trump style. The Mideast might have been much calmer now, but it appears Israel and its supporters had other plans.

This latest meeting of the JCPOA participants in Geneva, minus the US, was more than just a physical isolation from the the UNSC. It is one thing to cast one’s veto in that exclusive club, but quite another to withdraw from an agreement and then expect to be able to exercise its privileges.

What Trump has put on the table here is that if he can withdraw from an agreement and yet claim authority equivalent to those remaining in the agreement, might it not be time to respond to the US that others can choose to ignore future US UNSC vetos until a more reasonable US administration is in place?

This latest US UN uniploarism action may take a back seat to Trump’s new election machinations. Trump is now urging voters to vote twice, once by mail and once in person, where the delay in reconciling the votes and bringing charges on millions of double votes would create a no result situation, as Gordon feels that it would.

That would throw it into the hands of the Supreme Court where the Republican party and outside allies have worked for years being able to rig election outcomes by their being determined by a stacked court.

Iran and the remaining participants of the nuclear deal delivered a united message against US unilateralism, as they convened in Vienna for a meeting of the Joint Commission overseeing the implementation of the accord.

Following a meeting in Vienna, representatives from Iran and the remaining participants of the nuclear deal known as the JCPOA, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China express a united position against US attempts to trigger a snap-back mechanism reimposing UN Security Council sanctions against Tehran.

l and the UN Security Council resolution which endorses it.

Araghchi did note however that European attempts to provide Iran’s economic benefits from the deal fall short of Tehran’s expectations. Addressing reporters after the meeting, the Chinese delegate said the US was sabotaging the attempts of other countries to work with Iran.

During Tuesday’s meeting, it was also announced that Britain, France and Germany are attempting to make their special trade mechanism with Iran known as INSTEX open to more shareholders including China and Russia.

But the overriding message of this Joint Commission session was the need to confront US attempts in New York to keep up the pressure on Tehran and destroy the JCPOA.

  1. About voting twice, I think we have overreacted :

    We know that mail voting is preposterous in the light of vote safety and vote rigging, as much or even more than electronic voting. That being said, what would you say if you vote by mail and find out that your vote have been lost ? Typical and… outrageous isn’t it ?

    So, to assure your vote have been counted, it would imply that your name have been barred out from the voting list at the vote time isn’t it ?

    So to be sure, Trump suggested that you ‘TRY’ to vote the voting day to assure your mail vote have been recorded.

    If your name have been written off then… your mail vote have been registered (hoping for the one you voted for) then… all is fine : you can’t vote again.

    IF your name have NOT been written off !? What to make out of it ? That your mail vote have been lost ? or not counted yet ? Do you want to take the chance that your vote have not been counted yet ? If not, then vote again !

    • … I think this procedure is sound and logical providing that ALL mail vote ought to be counted prior to the voting day. IS THIS THE CASE ? IF so, then another problem arise : the foreknowledge of the vote tendency prior to the voting day. In the wrong hands, this could lead to wrongdoings in the election day process or ballot countings/reportings.

      In the end… IF you plan to verify that your mailing voting have been counted by checking in person the voting day, this is self defeating : why not only vote the election day solely…

    “Would” ?… “SHOULD” ! “OUGHT TO” !
    This is a nifty way to invalidate the elections and quarnte staying in power ! I bet it will be the same in 2024 elections if Trumps remains.

    About nuclear weapons, I don’t know if it is inscribed in Iranian laws verbatim but, it is forbidden by Khomeini’s fatwa hence… as good as law ! Thanks to the leader’s spiritual wisdom and wit !
