  2. Recently, I’ve been mystified by the huge numbers of British and Aussie involvement in our protest movement. So, I started working backwards to go further back and see if any protests or key activists were interfered with by British folks. Indeed there was, and it followed the profiles of every British infiltration process throughout the empire. Even more than that, it has risen to brazen levels of confidence and freely operates with nary a repercussion.
    I wonder how I might fare, if I came to London and preached End the Monarchy on the street corner ? Or worked to Thwart Brexit as an American citizen ? I believe I might be told to mind my own business. I see no reason for you to persist.

  3. All I “need to understand”, is who is actively engaging in election interference in my own country. If the people hate the Monarchy so much, they sure do not show it. And , in the course of educating people about Trump, of course we must examine from whence he came and how he got there. this leads to Cambridge Analytica, and the resulting masterful coverup.
    How convenient that Britain processes Brexit while simultaneously tightening her grip on US politics. We do not require your input or insurance. But thanks anyway. We have a Fox problem, and we all know who is obsessed with that animal.

  4. In the climate of our current political struggles as a young experiment, we are justifiably concerned with foreign influence. However, it seems our mainstream is only concerned with countries who are actively and continuously in conflict with British interests.
    Meanwhile, there is only one Empire, the US resoundingly rejected in our formation process, and only one who has burned our capital. I find that many Canadiens and Aussies actually are oblivious to the simple fact that the Queen and her family and the house of lords , are the head of their states, and their militaries. Commonwealth realms. Interested in our elections, is different than actively working to influence them. Elect a new queen and get back to me about democracy.

  6. Interesting choice Helen Mirren. There are thousands of US female actresses who would have taken the role and done fine.
    My impression of the piece is it will actually be met with praise from trump supporters. It isn’t going to turn anyone.
    I have to say, I am uncomfortable with the number of British, Canadien, and Australians that are deeply imbedded in the discussions and mechanics of our election. I have never seen anything like it. And Hollywood is just down with it.
