[ Editor’s Note: MAGA folks and their handlers are desperately trying to string out the ‘bad boy’ fun they’ve been having with the election. But they are clearly bluffing now, with the Insurrection Act silliness.

That is proven with their 2000 man turnout in DC, where what appeared to be a lot of unemployed people that have endless funds to party in the streets of Washington for a chance to stab ANTIFA people while they still can.

When that fun was over, they were either drinking $22 cocktails at the Trump Hotel or downing $11 Coors Light at Harry’s Burger Joint for another $20 burger. Their insurrection toy is going to evaporate on inauguration day.

No military commander is going to obey such an order from Trump. On the contrary, if he were to call for such, he might find himself being removed from the Whitehouse in a new twist of interpreting the act, where the act of calling for it illegally triggers it on himself.

Trump’s panic at having to leave is glowing hot now. He knows the “loser” tag will be figuratively tattooed to his forehead, maybe becoming his new nickname, and one he worked hard to win.

Here he sits in the Whitehouse, having effectively abandoned his post, throwing the pandemic work up in the air to let the chips and deaths fall where they may.

But I agree with Glenn Kirschner, Trump should be investigated for manslaughter for his withholding the knowledge that the virus was transmitted via breathing, and would not just “go away”.

If he is not investigated, it sets a precendent for someone following him, god forbid, to pull the same stunt to fire up a new batch of Trumpers if the current batch has grown up and moved on. After his pronouncement, what an irony that he will be leaving before Covid does.

I am growing less concerned about Trump’s ability to create mayhem when he is gone. His house of cards is already crashing, and he will be reduced to battling his neighbors in Palm Beach. If the Republicans kick him out, somehow maybe he will found the “Insurrectionist Party”, a fitting new leadership position for him.

After my long use of the term “You just can’t make this shit up”, Trump may have proved me wrong, as he did make it up and walked away a free man, for now Jim W. Dean ]

An 1807 law invoked only in the most violent circumstances is now a rallying cry for the MAGA-ites most committed to the fantasy that Donald Trump will never leave office.

…“The central theme here is that there supposedly exists a network of nefarious actors trying to undermine Trump and destroy the United States, and that this is a tool that Trump could use to save the day,” said Jared Holt, a research fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensics Research Lab, who focuses on far-right extremism.

…“The president’s authority is the Insurrection Act and his ability to declare martial law,” he told host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. Stone added that Trump could also use the law to arrest anyone from Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for election interference, to Democratic power couple Bill and Hillary Clinton — an interpretation that legal experts say strains credulity.

“When you’re talking about a group of conspiracy theorists, and others who lack any kind of legal knowledge, they’ll just pull that arrow out of their quiver when the rest don’t work,” said Brian Levin, executive director of the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University, San Bernardino.

  1. Yes, Trump have right to invoke the Insurrection Act because was recently revealed that everybody in the White House considers him an idiot even his former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said he had the understanding of a fifth- or sixth-grader and his former Sec of State Tillerson call him a fvcking moron. 🙂

    • True, but Trump is currently the most dangerous moron on the planet. I’m sure Mossad is working on a redo of 9/11 to keep him in power, right along with Netanyahu.

    • Tommy, of course is true, if that all your employees say openly that you are an idiot is not a insurrection act I don’t know what other thing could be.. 🙂

    • Do those employees of your fancy themselves as being Trump’s Storm Troopers who will follow him right over the cliff if he tells them to? Maybe you could submit all their names for Darwin Awards.

  2. “That is proven with their 2000 man turnout in DC, where what appeared to be a lot of unemployed people that have endless funds to party in the streets of Washington for a chance to stab ANTIFA people while they still can.” I’m certain that local police will have no problems sending these clowns home crying for their mamas if they ever decided to be Trump’s Storm Troopers. He would have a much better chance invoking powers under the USA Patriot Act. As the Atlantic put it… “The moment the president declares a “national emergency”—a decision that is entirely within his discretion—more than 100 special provisions become available to him. While many of these tee up reasonable responses to genuine emergencies, some appear dangerously suited to a leader bent on amassing or retaining power.”

    • Those “tools” were put in place within days of 9/11. The USA Patriot Act has been reauthorized right up to the present day by the same folks who brought you 9/11.
