Not Very Slow Joe Biden Destroys the GOP on Deficits,

Alternet: After Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election, liberal economist and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman predicted that the GOP “budget hawks” who had been silent during the Trump years would suddenly rediscover fiscal conservatism. And sure enough, now that Biden is president, Republicans are attacking him for increasing the United States’ federal deficit.

Biden addressed GOP grandstanding about the deficit during a news conference on Thursday, pointing out that Republicans in Congress weren’t worried about the deficit when they passed the costly Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

Biden said of Republicans, “Did you hear them complain when they passed the close-to-$2-trillion Trump tax cut, with 83% going to the top 1%? Did you hear them talk about that at all?”



Many Republicans in Congress have been vehemently critical of the American Rescue Plan, complaining that the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief/economic stimulus package that Biden recently signed into law will add way too much to the federal deficit. Biden, at the news conference, commented that Republicans are most likely to complain about federal spending when it benefits “ordinary people.”

With a mocking tone in his voice, Biden told reporters, “I love the fact that they found this whole idea of concern about the federal budget. It’s kind of amazing. When the federal budget is saving people’s lives, they don’t think it’s such a good idea.”

  1. I detect a video production manager rearing their ugly head. Back in the 1930s, the CFR was busted using a distortion lens to make FDR’s head look big for newsreel production. This video image shows a guy in a rubber mask(Biden or not, who cares), with a huge head. The past images of Ben Bernanke likewise, were digitally blown up, as were Bill Clinton’s head and everybody else’s head who they wanted to promote. The British royal’s are the worst offenders practicing this cat box journalism. Like Mac Davis always says, “It’s hard to be humble”. Please believe me, folks. Your road to access your potential positive genius and happiness is NOT found on television.

    • This distortion lens was based on the lens used to make the Keystone Kops feet look even bigger so they could run faster with even bigger clown shoes. It basically enlarged the bottom of the image screen objects. The CFR, according to their own records, and The Congressional record, was founded in 1911 by the Rothschild bank(Paul Warburg), JD Rockefeller, and J.P. Morgan, with the documented purpose being to “buy up all influential American news media with the intent to create the public debate, and by doing so control the minds of the American people.” I read this at a law library just over 40 years ago, so I have no trouble understanding how the public got so ovine and mindless worse even than that.

    • 90% of info Americans use to base their presidential vote on comes from television(Polsby/Wildavski, et al). Today’s ‘COVID-19 fraud and 9-11/Fukushima/Deepwater Horizon/vote fraud’ campaign is more than enough evidence for all to be worried and to react. The Babylonian Talmud is such a rag. A screeching biting poop flinging stinking monkey would not blow up a nuclear plant or spent fuel if it understood what would happen. That took a certain threshold of genetic unfitness where even a lousy monkey would not voluntarily go. PLEASE turn off your CFRtv and get down to business.

    • From the boat ramp across the island, my $79.95 car television set could receive 7 stations broadcasting an average of 22.5 hours of FREE television a day. Of that time, guess how many hours of that 70,000 plus free television a year was devoted to ANYBODY producing and broadcasting even ONE hour of a college lecture…….ZERO. Do not DARE to tell me that the Vatican/City of London/British royal/American Pilgrims Society wants an educated public. Every time I see that rubber head pretending to be Creepy Joe, I get madder. We need honesty in all more than deceit out of swine.
