Georgia State Bar seeking to discipline Lin Wood

[ Editor’s Note: Oh my, this could not happen to a ‘unnicer’ guy, and with a disciplinary bar association complaint of 1600 pages. Way to go Lin! That’s really showing them who’s the boss.

Mr. Wood might have been crazier than Rudy Giuliani, but not by much, so I am waiting to see if Rudy’s professional minders are going to give him a free pass, and the same with the Kracken, Sidney Powell.

Both are already on the firing line from the voting machine vendors, who are unhappy over being used as political punching bags by Trump’s grifter attorneys. I predict life is never going to be the same for them again for the attorneys.

The bonus for all of this will be setting an example for the uber-Trumpers that actions have consequences, as the rioters are already finding out.

Best of all, Trump is solidly in the cross hairs, after Mitch McConnell’s comments that Trump has not evaded responsibility for anything he has done while in office, waiving the green flag for all the prosecutors to go after the ‘Non Teflon Donald Trump’.

If Trump is charged with insurrection incitement, and the violent rioters are tagged with accessory to murder charges, Trump would have to be in that group. We have reports in today’s news that Trump’s attention is now less on his political future, but more on his exposure to a slew of criminal charges where much of the evidence is already on the table.

Just think about how many states could also start criminal investigations on him for election fraud, maybe even in Republican majority states. And don’t forget the RICO possibilities, for ‘running an ongoing criminal enterprise’.

And because he had so many close associates in on his ‘Steal’ caper, expect to see a number of co-conspirators flip on him to get reduced sentences.

As Glenn Kirschner does so love to say, in what became a great name for his effort, ‘Justice Matters’. It might come slowly in Trump’s case, but like a bulldozer, not much will be able to stop it. Welcome to the last chapter of the former president… Jim W. Dean ]

The State Bar of Georgia is seeking to discipline attorney Lin Wood, who made some of the more outlandish claims in defense of President Donald Trump in the months after the presidential election.

“The State Disciplinary Board of the State Bar of Georgia has received information concerning the above-named attorney that suggests that said attorney may have violated one or more of the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct,” the disciplinary complaint alleges at the start of a document that exceeds 1,600 pages. The complaint, marked confidential, was dated Feb. 5 and posted by Wood on Saturday on his account on the social media and messaging platform Telegram.

…Along with fellow lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, the Atlanta-based Wood was one of the most prominent attorneys representing Trump’s case around the nation in efforts to overturn the results of the election. The complaint against Wood extensively cited these claims, noting irregularities in the way they were handled, as well as some of the preposterous conspiracy theories he has cited both in and outside court. A section of the filing is titled “Mr. Wood’s Frivolous Filings in Numerous Courts.”
