“The government has sent to the State Duma bills on the use of QR codes in public places and on some types of transport. The proposed solutions are an emergency measure against the background of the difficult situation with the coronavirus,” the message says. As expected, the rules will be valid until June 1, 2022.
The Cabinet of Ministers clarified that this measure will not affect pharmacies, stores with groceries and essential goods.

Amendments to the law on sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population suggest that “citizens will be able to visit places of mass events, cultural institutions, catering and retail facilities with the presentation of either a QR code on vaccination, or a document confirming that a person has had a coronavirus, or medical withdrawal from vaccination “.

With regard to transport, the corresponding bill “regulates the use of QR codes on rail and air transport.” “We are talking about intercity and international transportation,” the government said.
