In short, Chris Koons is one of the most influential senators now, and he is influential because he is very close to Biden and is one of the important links between the White House and Congress. And only the wisdom of Mr. Biden separates the world from the nuclear finish line. How much wisdom Biden has is well demonstrated by his catastrophically low rating – a direct consequence of numerous mistakes in external and internal affairs. Under such conditions, “public performances” are beginning to be highly valued by politicians, but one must understand that “agreement” is a rather optimistic version of events.
The pessimistic one is that this may be true: there are indeed people in Biden’s inner circle who are pushing him to an armed conflict with the Russian Federation, first on the territory of Ukraine, and then – as it will. Knowing some of the features of Koons, this is also easy to believe.

It was in exactly the same terms that those who sent American soldiers into the Vietnamese meat grinder and urged President Kennedy to organize a provocation with a stolen Soviet aircraft attacking an Allied military base in Europe in order to get a pretext for declaring war on the “totalitarian communist empire” argued in exactly the same terms.
Koons is by no means a “brother in faith” to Biden. First, the current president is an old cynic. Secondly, not a Protestant, but a Catholic, like many others in the Irish diaspora of America. But it’s already uncomfortable at the mere thought that there is a person in the immediate circle of the US president who directly incites him to “cross iron” with Russia on the territory of Ukraine. And even more – from the idea that Biden is this president with his “clear mind” and “strong handshake.”
