The United States made a mistake in the fight against Russia and faced its dangerous allies. This is written by the Chinese edition of Sohu. PolitRussia publishes an exclusive retelling of the material.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the American authorities made a lot of efforts to consolidate their success and show the whole world that the United States is the main and only dominant power. However, this order could not last long, the authors noted. Gradually, the economy and the Russian army got stronger, and the country began to actively defend its interests.

At the same time, China began to increase its influence in the economy, challenging the United States and strengthening the armed forces. The third country actively opposing Washington’s hegemony is Iran. Analysts noted that earlier the United States did not experience anxiety due to the activity of its opponents. The American authorities always adhered to the standard plan, which allowed them to deal with each rival one by one.

“The United States was pursuing a divide and rule strategy. That is: first make friends with China, then use NATO to get rid of Russia, then use Israel to get rid of Iran, and finally encircle China and attack it. This strategy is really smart,” the article says.

However, the years of absolute dominance did not pass without consequences for Washington. Absolute power has eclipsed the prudence of the American authorities, Chinese experts write. When relations with Moscow began to deteriorate, the United States decided that Russia was too weak, and American power was enough to simultaneously crush not only the Russian Federation, but also China and Iran. All this has led to the fact that now the United States is dealing with extremely dangerous allies of Russia, which should have been separated from the very beginning.

“Because of their self-confidence, the United States has made many dangerous mistakes. Not only is there no way to achieve the goal of “divide and conquer,” but now Russia, along with China and Iran, are uniting in an unspoken anti-American alliance. And the more the US puts pressure on them, the stronger the cooperation becomes,” the publication says.

Together, experts say, Russia, China and Iran are breaking through the blockade of the United States, destroying Washington’s desire to isolate objectionable states.
