Health Editor’s Note: COVID-19 deaths have been mounting for months here in the U.S. as well as in other parts of the world. Currently COVID-19 falls behind heart disease and cancer in cause of death in the U.S. That is really saying a mouthful….a disease that has been around for only 10 months yet has caused to date almost 172,000 deaths with daily increases reaching over 1,000 per day. This statistic places COVID-19 ahead of lung disease, diabetes, injuries, accidents, and Alzheimer’s.
Americans with COVID-19 are more likely to die than Europeans…..eight time more likely….Carol
Carol graduated from Riverside White Cross School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio and received her diploma as a registered nurse. She attended Bowling Green State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Literature. She attended the University of Toledo, College of Nursing, and received a Master’s of Nursing Science Degree as an Educator.
She has traveled extensively, is a photographer, and writes on medical issues. Carol has three children RJ, Katherine, and Stephen – one daughter-in-law; Katie – two granddaughters; Isabella Marianna and Zoe Olivia – and one grandson, Alexander Paul. Why so bad in USA compared to Europe?
Perhaps the fact the USA the richest country in world also only provides decent health care to only those who can afford it. .
Here in Belarus, I met three different people who had covid 19.
I asked them how were they cured , two said they said a trio of antibiotics, a malaria drug and something for the the blood.
Important is all three said they had to spend an entire month in a hospital.
Can you imagine the hospital bill for anyone uninsured with anything that needs a month’s stay in any hospital in the USA? I would guess 1000 a day the cheapest, that not l including doctors fees or medicines or treatments or operations either…. peobably near 100k Total bill at the cheapest.
Nobody can afford it so they die.
