RT: Tehran has issued a strongly-worded denial after US media reports accused it of paying Taliban-linked militants to attack American forces in Afghanistan, calling the claim baseless misinformation.

CNN reported on Monday that the Iranian government provided cash to a Taliban-linked terrorist group, the Haqqani network, in exchange for six attacks on US and coalition forces in Afghanistan last year. The allegation came from unnamed sources within the US intelligence community.

Describing the bounty claim “thoroughly untrue,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said the report aims to provide a smokescreen for Washington’s nearly twenty-year occupation of Afghanistan.

“The US, which has no answer for the families of its killed soldiers in Afghanistan, seeks to cover up its miscalculations in Afghanistan through media propaganda,” Khatibzadeh said.

He urged Washington to “act responsibly” and end its “catastrophic presence” in Afghanistan, instead of blaming others for the bloody and costly conflict.

A similar accusation of a Taliban bounty program was leveled against Russia back in June. However, the New York Times report came under scrutiny after senior military officials testified that there wasn’t enough evidence to suggest that the Kremlin was giving cash to the militant group.

Hardly surprising, this nonsense Western MSM presents to the people as “real news” fabricated by US Government puppets to The City of London to distract, deceive, and manipulate the people into believing a chosen enemy is meddling in US Government affairs, perpetrating the a destabilization of US Government by the most evil and absolutely ridiculous manner. Endless fabrications thrown out to the people, projecting blame for it’s crimes on it’s enemies. The purpose is to turn public opinion in favor of the the Government that’s destroying it’s own country, and practicing genocide on the people. Scripted for the puppets to project, and the useful idiots to parrot. The results have US Government coming off as being unable to prevent a country it describes as a poor, 3rd world shithole country without the technology, and expertise to do do what US Government is alleging. Or, maybe this once superpower is to inept to create a system, any of the poorest of countries, using technology it can’t create, or steal is somehow able to easily hack right on in, and run amok within US Government, that can’t seem to remove the diabolical threat intruding into the high tech has been superpower.
